Complicated Life

“It’s my destiny and I must do it.”

That’s what some people say.

Whether it’s God’s plan, they care not one whit.

“I’ll just go my own way.”

Our years pass and death will one day arrive.

No one stays always young.

First you’re twenty-one – then you’re forty-five!

Years fly – you’re soon outstrung.

The Bible gives us just seventy years.

You’ll find that comes real fast.

Heartache, sickness and all our earthbound fears

Are things that will not last.

Life is too short to hold on to grudges.

That’s a hurt you don’t need.

You’ll find it robs you of time “in wedges.”

Look to Christ with all speed.

You’ll find there is joy in serving Jesus.

He throws light on your way.

Ev’ry adventure with Him is a plus.

Now let His love hold sway.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
