Frustration

There’s such a youth “cult” living out there
As you age, you get nowhere!

Just walk up straight - look them in the eye
Fall over?  They’ll wonder why.

Exercise so you won’t walk “old”
Just stand up straight and be bold!

Don’t say you’re old just because you are.
White hair, but still drive a car?

They’ll have you stand on a “pad of jelly”
Walk upright - suck in belly.

Now pretend you don’t have arthritis
Aches and pains or bursitis.

Prepare for things you won’t even face
While living in your own space.

Frustrating to try to buy new things -
Your grandchildren teach “the strings.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
