Looking Out the Window

The parking lot seems full of domes of snow.
It’s cars parked and left “on their own”
Not even a footprint of tires for tow.
Sounds are muffled - no plows have shown.

The old gazebo has been deserted.
No footprints near it seen out there.
The animals have all been diverted
Are bedded down against cold air.

Think I’ll enjoy the peace this afternoon
‘Til ev’ning when the snow plows “show.”
I’ll remember to watch for that snow moon
If the clouds part, I‘ll see the glow.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
