Chhrist in You - the Hope of Glory

God in the flesh born to a humble young maiden,

God with us in Christ Jesus

Can be Christ in you with promises laden.

To reach heaven it’s a must!

This tiny Babe born in Bethlehem’s small town

Is all of God in the flesh!

The Holy Spirit’s all of God, yet unbound,

And does my whole heart enmesh!

I ask forgiveness and allow Him to be

My Savior from sin and hell.

It’s amazing that God would do this for me…

Send His Spirit to indwell.

Mystery…it’s something I couldn’t have known

Unless God had revealed it.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory” here is shown

In Colossians sacred writ.

This hope of glory, which is not yet achieved

Will cause conflict as I grow.

Because I know Him, have entirely received

Christ, His love and peace I can know.

Being conformed to His image…no down side

To grow to what I’ll become

As this “hope of glory” in me does reside

‘Til I’m in my heav’nly Home.

“….the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ.   Colossians 1:26 – 28 (NASB)
