 The Word Became Flesh

In the beginning there was God
Before there was ought, animal or sod.
Christ first came in a little bod,
Taught by Mary, Joseph and Father God.

God sent His Son to earth below,
Miraculously, God’s love, He would show.
It really happened long ago
To help this old world the Father to know.

He was denied, smitten by man -
Those He came to save as no one else can.
Still He loves, stretches out His hand
To all who’ll believe in every land.

“This is how God showed his love among us;
He sent his one and only Son into the world that
We might live through Him. “ 1 John 4:9

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
