While Word Chimes Sound

Summer is coming - the kids say “yeh”!
No scheduled hours for school and such,
Day camp and games and lots of play!
Those are things they love so much.

The pollens “blow” my windows shut -
Sneezing the order of the day!
Now staying inside is a must.
Want to be outside,  if I may!

The wild wind blows so very hard.
Birds cling to nests deep in the tree.
Squirrels scurry across the yard.
It’s in the house for you and me.

All my windows get power washed!
Flowers in big pots bend and sway.
I’m just hoping they won’t be “squashed.”
Balcony seems “on the runway!”

It seems like April, but it’s May!
Is “mother nature” that mixed up?
When I was young, was it that way?
Inside or out, playing was my “cup.”

Word Chimes are “music” to my ears.
Let us hope they are to your own.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
