Well,  Actually

Looks, talent, age, work - is that all there is?
And just how do I see others?
Is pride in there - busy being a whiz?
That kind of thing friendship smothers.

Conflict was supposed way back to Adam.
There’s One can deal with that.
Only His love deals with human schism.
He works even when I fall flat.

He is qualified to deal with my sin -
No longer counts it against me.
My Shepherd always keeps - with Christ I win.
His righteousness clothes me, you see.

My head and my heart are moved by Christ’s love.
One day I’ll stand in God’s presence.
With joy I’ll enter my real home above  -
No longer think of self’s essence.

The enemy brings past sins to my mind,
But I asked and He’s forgiven.
It doesn’t matter what anyone finds.
I’m His and going to Heaven!

“He made Him who knew no sin to BE sin on our behalf
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
11 Corinthians 3:21

“So He shepherded them according to the integrity of His heart,
and guided them by the skillfulness of His hands.”
Psalm 78:72

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
