Relationship

Does my faith fear examination?
Christ will not condemn His people.
The healthy thing in this relation –
His love and grace to us is equal.

“Oh God, my God, my soul thirsts for You.”
I will pray because I want to.
Give me an intense hunger for You -
To love people the way that You do.

My longing comes from relationship –
More – I want to know You better.
My soul praises You with joyful lips.
May my heart be Yours to the letter!

Your encouragement for rejoicing –
Challenge to keep me on my knees –
Are those things what my life is voicing?
If not, my dear Savior, help me please.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
