Goals

Maybe now would be better than New Year
To think things through and set goals.
I’ll be so tired then with less time, I fear.
Christmas, New Year  - rocky shoals.

Today, right now in life’s known areas,
Could I reset, reorder
To get rid of that old enabling clause,
Reset my inner warder?

Is it spiritual or other routines
That make me so uneasy?
Can I run it all through my mind's life screen
Regularly, orderly?

“God isn’t a God of disorder, and He’s full
of grace for fresh starts.”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
