My Boardroom

A large round table
There - seven chairs plus one
Seven join in discussion.

Mind engages first
Reasoning with others
Think through problems, the decide.

Heart decides to speak.
My feelings, then others.
Can we come to agreement?

Will now starts its rise
Think it should be my way
Is there a tug of war now?

Conscience rears it’s head
Is this thing right for all?
Do I want to hurt others?

Memory shakes up
Recalling my mistakes
Come unbidden to my mind.

Propels the rest to brink
Until my Lord saves the day!
Reminding all of what’s the most important.

Mathew 22:37

Thank you, Gary. As a pastor in my past once said, "If we work and organize enough, we can organize God right out of a thing." Seeking God's will should be fist in our hearts and minds.
