My Boardroom

My Boardroom

A large round table
There - seven chairs plus one
Seven join in discussion.

Mind engages first
Reasoning with others
Think through problems, the decide.

Heart decides to speak.
My feelings, then others.
Can we come to agreement?

Will now starts its rise
Think it should be my way
Is there a tug of war now?

Conscience rears it’s head
Is this thing right for all?
Do I want to hurt others?

Memory shakes up
Recalling my mistakes
Come unbidden to my mind.

Imagination
Propels the rest to brink
Until my Lord saves the day!
Reminding all of what’s the most important.

Mathew 22:37

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
