Plans

Tomorrow is another day.
I’ll do such when it comes.
I’ll depend on this earthly clay.
It , to my will, succumbs.

You’ve heard the saying many times -
You cannot out-give God.
Despite all the reasons and rhymes,
Our thinking is but flawed.

God’s wisdom instead of my will -
That’s really what I need.
Both you and I know that’s “the drill.”
It’s in our hearts been keyed.

I am but a work in progress.
I’m just not quite finished -
Free to grow deeper, I confess
His love -  undiminished.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
