I Am an Eternal Being

I Am An Eternal Being

I’m glad I belong to the Lord.
I am an eternal being.
All the mercies His grace affords
Are mine…that, to me is freeing.

I’m glad I belong to the Lord.
I am an eternal being.
Unlike ‘ole Jonah’ and ‘the gourd’
I would not His will be fleeing.

I’m glad I belong to the Lord.
I am an eternal being.
Thru’ life on earth I won’t be bored.
To His family I’m cleaving.

I’m glad I belong to the Lord.
I am an eternal being.
Into my life his love is poured.
He’s for me. He  won’t be leaving!

I’m glad I belong to the Lord.
I am an eternal being.
Sickness, pain, death will take my ‘core’
To the Place I won’t be leaving!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
