Christmas Spirit

Christmas Spirit

Decorating the house
Not a stirring mouse
Is that Christmas spirit?

Putting up a fir tree
A great shopping spree
Is that Christmas spirit?

Hanging socks by the fire
A star on the spire
Is that Christmas spirit?

Family together
Despite the weather
Is that Christmas spirit?

Now all may contribute
Bring gifts each to suit
Love that Christmas spirit!

Sing carols quite a few
That may give a clue
This is Christmas spirit!

Worship and sing praises
Each their voice raises
This is Christmas spirit!

God sent His Son with love
Praise to God above
This is Christmas spirit!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
