Pretense????

Pretense?

What a person believes and what they do
Are distinguishing marks to tell us who’s
Pretending?  – or are they a real Christian?

Can’t be saved by His death without living
As He – in peace, pure hearts, and forgiving.
Pretending? – or are they a real Christian?

Do I hunger and thirst for righteousness?
Does that need in my life show real progress?
Pretending? – or am I a real Christian?

The beatitudes – Matthew chapter five –
Still show the progress – the Christian alive,
No pretense, but a living, real Christian!

“…..And who is adequate for these things?”
2 Corinthians 2:16

“Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider
anything as coming from ourselves, but our
adequacy is from God.”  2 Cor. 3:5

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
