Potential

You’ve decided you’ll go to church.
When you arrive you’re still outside.
However far one may travel -
Depart the car and quickly stride
We all come in from the outside.

Some come early - others come late.
But all come in - there is movement.
Faith is the way one moves to Christ,
Allows Him their life to “reprint.”
We all come in from the outside.

I don’t have the capacity
To be the person I should be.
YOUR death atoned for sin’s power.
Please save me from sin’s penalty.
I’m coming in from the outside.

“And they answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].”    Acts 16:31   (The Amplified Bible)

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
