So Wild

The weather was wild
As the wind whistled and screamed.
Now it seems so mild
As if all was not what it seemed.

Just one day ago -
Yesterday - it poured with rain.
Now it’s hard to know
Some people are in such pain.

Hard to understand
Why such things have to happen.
We know it’s God’s hand
Tornados come and flatten.

Today is so mild
As I look out where I am.
All gone is the wild.
It’s turned from lion to lamb.

It seems to random
But we know God is in charge.
His will and way in tandem
As nature’s discharged.
