God's Glorious World

                                     God's Glorious World

The red glory of the sky became more intense
As a silver moon shone on remnants of a storm.
The stars twinkled now much more like lovely jewels.
We watched by the fire so we'd stay warm.

The colors of the garden were still so striking
'Though the autumn weather and night were closing in,
The world of nature kept in balance by our God,
Somewhat spoiled by man and his spin.

Then, as the sky brightens at dawn, the birds chatter.
It sounds as if they are complaining and squawking.
There are sparrows, black birds, blue jays and cardinals,
                    And a fat robin --- "worm-stalking."

A tiny silver moon like a shiny snowball
Still hangs suspended in the bright'ning western sky
And fades before the sun in all it's radiance.
We're left to marvel and wonder why.

Winter will come with its snow and fingers of frost.
The stars will be cold and shiny like sharpened ice.
We'll seek the warmth of family and friends and home,
And share the wealth, to be precise.

Although the world and weather may seem in wild chaos
With huge storms and fires, floods crazily abounding,
God is sovereign over all of nature's fury.
May our faith in Him find grounding!
