Light

Arise, shine for thy Light has come –

Jesus – Light of the world.

John the Baptist was not that Light.

He only told of Christ.

Thy Word is a lamp to my feet

And a Light to my path.

Turn now to His marvelous Light,

No longer in darkness.

God’s light – let us walk in Him –

The Light of the Gospel –

Be ready with your light burning.

Walk as children of Light.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
