Problems and the Solution

We are all trying to swallow things that won’t go down.

Doctor Havner said that without a frown.

The gnawing worm is always there in this broken earth.

It begins to bother us from our birth.

The proper place to put that is under Jesus’ Cross,

The only place where we suffer no loss.

I need to confess before Him – I am a sinner –

I need the Savior who’s, over Satan, a winner.

The prerequisite is to trust Jesus as Savior.

Then I can know He’ll guide me forever.

It sure is not easy, living with all these problems,

But we have a God to help us solve them.

Jesus has promised never to leave or forsake me.

That includes Father, Son, Spirit – all three.

I must study the Word with an open heart and mind

To discover the truths He’s left behind.

Someone said “there’s always a scrap to pull from the deep.”

If you have learned the Word, it’s yours to keep.

Faith makes things possible, but does not mean it’s easy.

Waiting for His answer, we are queasy.

When I call on God, no matter when, He always hears,

Answering perfectly, despite my fears.

Written for an unsaved friend who is having lots of problems

With the assurance that I am praying.
