My Refuge

On this personal journey where Iíve been
living each day and can go there again,
I may deceive self Ė no golden silence Ė
refuse to confess Ė itís on my conscience.

My salvation comes through the Lord alone.
I canít deceive, cover before His throne.
I may try cover up, but cannot win.
Christís sacrifice alone covers my sin.

The godly is the one who confesses,
receives forgiveness Ė Godís grace possesses.
He is my guide for the journey ahead.
Heís not just there Ė He really cares instead.

His steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts
in the Lord!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
