Good Seeds  and Weeds

The one who sows the good seed owns the field
And the great big field is the world.
He lays claim to your youth and old age yield.

The sneaky enemy comes and sows weeds.
Don’t believe in him?  Well,  Christ did.
It took Christ’s death and rising to defeat.

Evil comes in a more sinister form.
The wheat grows along with the weeds.
Until Jesus comes that will be the norm.

The good seed are growing where they’re planted.
Do  you live for God or for self?
Don’t’ take your life and each day for granted.

Your roots - with others - will be intertwined.
Relationships are difficult.
He calls to grow until His harvest time.

“Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom
of their Father. “    Matthew 13:43

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
