My Praise and Thank You List

Lord, I thank You for life on the earth,

For the day my Mother dear gave birth

To a small girl, just a lump of clay,

A life to be molded and taught in Your Way.

Lord, I thank You for family dear,

Children and grandchildren ‘round us here.

Thanks for the love that’s between us shared

Since Grandpa and Grandma by Your will were paired.

Lord, I thank You for freedoms we share;

Attacks and war have made us aware

Of just how precious these freedoms are.

Faith in You and each other can take us far.

Lord, I thank You for Your precious Word;

May It by every nation be heard.

May all come to Your marvelous Light

Ere Christ comes, the ultimate evil to fight.

Lord, I thank You for eternal hope

So that I don’t need to blindly grope.

I have Your Word and Your promise true

That because I’m Yours, I’ll live in heaven with You.

Lord, I could go on and on this way,

Thanking You for all as now I pray.

With all these, I guess You have the gist

Of what I mean in my praise and thank You list.
