October’s Almost Here!

Seven Maple trees within my view
Have turned yellow and red for a week or two.

Green and gold, orange, brown sway in the breeze.
Sun shines brightly - beautiful on all of these.

A long, slow Fall is what I yearn for -
Makes Winter bearable midst the cold wind’s roar.

I love Fall midst the cooler weather
When sun and birds and breeze all "sing" together

Praises to our Lord.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
