Vitality

God made a man, not yet living,
Breathed into him His vital breath.
The soul brings life – this God-giving.
Temporary disconnect – death.

Home with God the second I die –
In this body I groan and ache.
But there my spirit will be spry,
Be without pain when there I wake.

I’ll consciously enjoy that fit
In Heaven in Jesus’ presence.
My guarantee is the Spirit.
There’s no question of admittance.

Angels wonder at redemption
When sinner is saved, they rejoice.
I’ll look toward resurrection –
Before Creation ‘twas God’s choice.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
