Very Deep Repentance

Very Deep Repentance

God said that Job was blameless and upright.

Then Job became a target of Satan.

He struggled with pain, with friends and with God.

He thought his life innocent, his case “tight.”

God spoke directly, in Person, to Job.

Job saw God’s glory as never before.

Then he despised himself and repented,

Very much deeper ere with friends he strove.

God is greater than I can comprehend,

Yet I complain about all my troubles.

What if I truly saw God’s own glory?

I think I’d be in Heaven with my Friend.

"Show us the Father” is the prayer of our hearts.

Then we learn to shudder at the prospect.

It is a longing that God will answer

When Christ Jesus returns and heaven parts.
