Eyelashes and Such

(¨`•.•´¨)

Science knows that my hair keeps records for months, even years.

They say we leave traces of ourselves wherever we go.

God knows all my innermost thoughts, all my heartaches and tears,

He even keeps them in a bottle while I live below.

He cares so much for me… He even numbered all my hairs.

Who’d think that important enough to even think about?

God does, and He cares for something as small as eyebrow pairs,

Strands of hair, my fears and concerns…He cares!  I want to shout!

God really does care for and numbers my hairs come what may.

Who is this sovereign Lord Who cares for all things about me

Ev’ry second, ev’ry minute, ev’ry hour, ev’ry day?

He’s my Savior and Lord to Whom I’ll gladly bow the knee.

He’s my heavenly Father and He never forgets me.

He hears my deep groaning when I can’t even seem to pray.

He said, “seek Me first and these things will be added,” you’ll see.

His love casts fears aside…causes me to trust and obey.

It takes storms to prove His love and everlasting shelter.

I dare to calculate without God, and I’m in trouble.

The habit of putting Him first, although storms my pelter,

Will prove God’s plan for my life is not wood, hay or stubble.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
