Discernment

Things aren’t always what they seem.
A king had Hezekiah trapped.
Victory was theirs - so they deemed.
God’s hand was on His people.

Some advice is not God’s voice.
He speaks to us most through His Word -
To listen or ignore - our choice.
God is always trustworthy.

Give us wise discernment, Lord,
To recognize what is Your will.
To wait on You, we can afford.
We know You won’t abandon.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
