No Downsizing  -  Upgrade!

We will share His resurrection,
Caught up in the air to meet Him,
New body-spirit connection,
In the twinkling of an eye - changed!

It’s no longer subject to pain,
No sickness or disease or death.
This earth’s loss will be Heaven gained,
Adapted for eternal life.

Death “ain’t” the end of the union
Between my soul and new body,
Just suspended ‘til reunion,
Fitted for life eternally.

That’s what’s known as good-better-best,
The pattern to the Christian life -
In Christ, with Christ and all the rest -
It’s sure the best is yet to be.
Hallelujah!

“For we know that if the earthly tent (our physical body) which is our house is torn down (through death),  we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
2 Corinthians 5:1   (Amplified Bible)

This poem was inspired by the LifeKeys devotional  for March.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
