Free to be Who You Are

Free to be Who You Are

Redemption is a freedom word.

When slaves are redeemed “you’re free” is heard.

The Spirit fills and quenches your thirst,

Releasing you from sin’s grip first.

Indwelling and guidance to understand

The Word of God has all been planned.

Redeemed to be who you are in Christ!

Now Christ is everything you need!

From sin’s mast’ry you have been freed!

You fight sin from a new position;

He’ll bring it all to fruition.

It’s not WHAT will deliver you from sin,

But WHO’LL rescue and help you win…

Stay free to be who you are in Christ!

Prioritize on what’s inside.

You can’t live out what does not abide.

Tell yourself the Truth; don’t talk defeat.

You’re not chaff, but His golden wheat!

Fight the good fight; offer yourself to Him,

New strength to gain in spir’tual gym.

You’re free to be who you are in Christ!

“Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus…

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.”

Romans 6:11 and 14
