Dusty People

As we move through this life it helps to remember,

However successful one may be,

That down the line there is coming the hereafter,

That the Master, one day we will see.

Humans were made from dust and to dust shall return.

Sooner or later this too shall be.

May I be found here trying His will to discern

Because Christ died for me on a “tree.”

Resurrection Day is a glorious morning.

Because of it, then I will be raised.

That does not mean that Jesus’ Cross I am scorning

Where He bought salvation – thus I praise!

I’ll not concentrate on the sadness of these days

But glory in the promise it brings.

God’s wonderful love is shown in all kinds of ways

And praise for it in my heart just sings!

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
