Think - Then Speak

Should I talk or be silent?
Do I have something to say?
Should I just seem compliant -
Be still - other voices weigh?

Sometimes it’s good to discuss -
Other ideas can help -
Then go away to think,  thus’
My own ideas to prep.

At times, I think I’m foolish.
I haven’t thought it all through.
Did I come off as shrewish,
Not giving others their due?

Good to think before I speak,
Be sure I’m saying the truth.
Don’t want to hear it next week,
Told by some amateur sleuth.
