The Struggle

She would live her own way.
No one would tell her what to do!
She knew what she would say.
Someone might help and she knew who.

People she knew harmed her
By their actions and words untrue.
Bravely she lived – - a blur.
Life wasn’t rosy – a gray hue.

Someone told her of Christ
And His love for her soul, so deep.
He’d make whole – without price,
Save her soul and guide her and keep.

Faith sealed relationship.
The Holy Spirit sustains it
Without computer chip.
God did, through Christ, her sin acquit.

Satan would try his wiles.
He’d try ev’ry trick in his book,
“Break out the files” for miles,
And use all his “gobble-de-gook.”

But for those who love God
All things work together for good.
She’d walk the path He trod.
God guiding her, she could and would!
