Then - Real Living!

Between my life here, and the remade Heaven

That will be “capitaled” on the New Earth,

I’ll live with Christ where there’s no misbehavin’.

I’m assured of that by the New Birth.

I was made with mind, soul, spirit and body.

Some day I’ll lay THAT body aside,

Go to live with God, leaving my “dottery”

There, in some form, with Him to abide.

Then God will destroy the old Earth and Heaven

And make them both eternally new,

The new Home for the new me –no more leavin’ –

Eternal life with God – right on cue!

No more living here on Earth under The Curse

Far from the direct presence of God.

But my future, according to Bible verse,

Will be the rehabing of this “bod.”

Then everything new forever will be

Mine to enjoy in glorious Light

Where I’ll never cease praising eternally

When God reigns in His pure love and might.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
