Why Are So Many Getting Angry?

Why Are So Many Getting Angry?

Just listen to the news, and itís quite chilling!

Another crime!† Another terrible killing!

What is happening to this countryís heart?

As many lives are being ripped apart?

Have you noticed the anger in many lives?

You can see it in many peopleís eyes!

Thereís anger to be seen in the workplace.

The look of madness on peopleís face!

No matter that in life, and what it brings.

People arenít being happy

†with their things!

Happiness canít be bought, sold or traded!

Life has a way of being complicated!

Jesus came, that we might

have life abundantly!

Heís given this promise,

†most assuredly!

His loves can take all forms of anger away!

His peace can bring hope to a troubled day!

Wonít you allow his joy to completely fill you?

And let him wrap his arms of love, around you!

Heís what you need, to remove any sadness!

Enjoy his peace, love and happiness!

Come sweet Jesus, and bring

†your sweet spirit!

Fill me with your love!† That I may share it!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
