Do We Have the Victory to Share Christ With Others?

I heard a pastor preach; “we should witness to another.”

Whether or not the person I share with is my brother.

But here’s an ironic twist that I have often found.

In many churches, the people are on “shaky ground.”

Many in church don’t witness, because they may “offend.”

They, like many, want everyone to be “their friend.”

Sharing Jesus with others seems to be a thing of the past.

Many have a relationship that may not even last.

Many in church have addictions of their own.

They don’t have the victory they need in their home.

Even thought many hear what their pastor preaches…

They know very little of what their Bible teaches!

If a Christian isn’t grounded in the truth of God’s word.

How can we expect to reach those who haven’t heard?

We must have God’s victory in our lives as well!

If we’re to help the sinner who is bound for hell!

We must seek God’s awesome power and his grace!

We must get alone with God in a special place.

A place to pray and seek him with all of our heart…

Seeking his will for our life is a great place to start!

Godly victory in our lives needs to be evident!

The coming of our Lord is near and imminent!

Please come Jesus!  Cleanse us with your fire!

That sharing your love with others will be our desire!

Let’s be an example for Jesus!  For others to see!

Not bound in sin’s chains, but ALIVE and FREE!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
