Let’s Build Up and Encourage One Another!

Why is it that many Christians don’t get along?

How is fighting and arguing going to make us strong?

We’re called to Christ’ example and his light…

Do we really have a reason to “argue and fight?”

God has called us to build up one another in godly edification.

Not to use our life as a “weapon of destruction.”

Scripture reminds us to speak on wholesome things.

And remind us of what the love of Christ brings.

1 Corinthians 13 says to do everything with Christ’ love…

And reminds us, that every good gift, is from God above.

With the many good things that God has given...

Is there someone in your life, that you haven’t forgiven?

Let’s submit our lives to the will of the heavenly father.

And don’t allow any anger or strife to go any farther.

Let’s pray for one another and those who “misuse” us.

And remind ourselves of how much Christ loves us!

Let’s live in God’s love!  His peace and one accord!

And live as an example of Christ, our lord!

May God’s love be the glue that daily binds.

May his spirit guard our hearts and minds!

May Christ’ body, come together as one...

The battle’s over!  The victory is won!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
