Do You Really KNOW Jesus?

Do You Really KNOW Jesus?

Jesus said many shall say they do wonders in his name.

A relationship with him is what many often claim.

They may pray and claim to see miracles performed.

But in scripture, it makes clear to be warned!

“But Lord, didn’t we do wonders and cast out devils?”

“We talked about you, and tried to be on the level.”

But Jesus will say; “depart from me!” “I never knew you!”

“Leave me now!”  “I will not be with you!”

Many will leave his sight and be forever cast out.

Have a relationship with Jesus is what it’s about!”

It doesn’t matter how many Sundays you attend.

Or how much you may boast to your friends!

It doesn’t matter if you pray a long prayer each day.

Or how many people you “impress” along the way.

What matters is having a relationship with Jesus, your king!

He must be more important to you, than ANYTHING!

A love and desire to have fellowship with him is needed!

It’s only through his blood, that you can be completed!

Won’t you stop and reflect on how much you need him?

If you haven’t done so, you can now receive him!

You can have eternal life that’s most precious and dear!

Won’t you come to the Lord now, while he’s still near?

Talking about and knowing Jesus are two different things.

But you can enjoy the

beautiful life that he brings!

Won’t you experience his life changing power?

You can have everlasting life…  This very hour!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
