Christ Took away My Worries and Fea

Christ Took Away My Worries and Fear!

Christ took away my worries and fear.

And brought a love that’s true and sincere!

He took away my yesterdays and all of my wrongs.

It’s in his arms of mercy that I certainly belong!

He took away the heartache and all of my pain!

I find comfort and joy when I call on his name.

He took away the heaviness that was holding me down.

And became my friend, when there wasn’t any around.

He gave me a promise to be faithful and true.

Without him, I don’t know what I would do.

He gave me a future, when things looked dim.

He totally forgave me, and took away my sin!

He brought a new meaning of tomorrow’s plans.

And promised never to let go of my hand!

I had so many struggles that I couldn’t solve.

Everything changed that day Jesus got involved!

I’m happy now because of the choice I made.

There’s nothing for Jesus that I would ever trade!

I thank him! I’m so happy for what he’s done!

All power and glory!  To God’s anointed son!

I bless the Lord! I’m grateful for him!

I come to worship and adore him!

He’s what I always needed!  And much more!

I appreciate him greater than I ever did before!

He’s the Lord of all! And the king of kings!

He’s my righteousness and everything!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
