How Many Expect Christ' Soon Return
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

How Many Expect Christ’ Soon Return?

When Christ returns, how many sill expect it?

I think many, even in church, have “forgotten it.”

Christ wants us to daily “watch and pray.”

How many actually believe what he has to say?

“No one knows the day or hour,”

 is what Jesus told us.

But how many things we read

 “try to fool us?”

He’s coming back for a bride washed in his blood.

He’s looking for those who’ve given him their love.

He’s looking for one who’s oil in their

 lamp is burning.

There’s so many directions

 in life to be turning.

Being ready to meet Jesus should be

our ambition.

We need to daily give Christ our

 love and affection.

We need to lay all of the lustful

 desires aside.

We need to walk in humbleness

and not pride.

Let‘s seek Christ and his awesome righteousness.

Let’s call on him to stir our hearts to holiness!

Let’s seek Christ like we never

have before…

When it comes to Jesus, we need him

 so much more!

Knowing and serving him is the

best place to be!

Let’s start preparing for a home

in heaven for eternity!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
