Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen!

Jesus said: “Many are called.”  “Few Are Chosen.”

Too often, people’s lives are “spiritually frozen.”

Many seem to be stuck from things of the past.

And haven’t enjoyed a godly

 victory that’ll last.

As Christ calls us to step up to do his mission…

There’s a lot who don’t know what they’re missin’!

Christ never calls anyone to something they can’t do.

He’s always there to make sure they make it through.

Often promises are made but quickly broken.

By what someone has done

 or what they’ve spoken.

Discouragements and fear often tend to creep in.

Before you know it,

another is held back by sin.

As Christ calls us…  He really wants us to GO!

To help reap the harvest

and reach the lost soul!

This opportunity is ours!  It’s here for the asking!

Let’s delight in God’s true love that’s everlasting!

His love will push us beyond man’s set of “limits.”

As God gives us the awesome

 power of his spirit!

Following Christ today is the best thing to do!

He’s patiently waiting and is calling for YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
