We Need You God!

God, please come down and touch us!

We all need your presence to be with us.

We have stubbornly gone our sinful sways.

It seems like little do we give ourselves praise.

It seems like too often, we think of just our self.

We don’t trust you what you can do yourself.

We need to confess our sins and turn to you.

We need come and lay our lives before you!

Only you have the answer for what ails this nation.

Only you can restore by your mercy and salvation!

Please convict our hearts to seek you in prayer.

Knowing that you hear us and are always there!

May 2 Chronicles 7:14 be a daily

process and reality…

Knowing that with YOU, all that

 we do is vanity.

You, oh God, are righteous and much needed!

Only through you can our lives be

 whole and completed!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
