Jesus, Please Heal this Marriage!

Jesus…  Please Heal This Marriage!

I heard about another tragedy that touched the heart.

Another family and marriage that’s falling apart.

Another relationship that’s fallen and been broken…

There’s been many hurtful words that’s been spoken.

This was a nice Christian family.  So everyone thought.

An adulterous situation arose, and someone was caught.

They made a commitment to one other each day they lived.

And trusted God, that whatever came…  They would forgive!

But the Bible talks about, and warns us of a danger.

If we allow pride to come in…  It’ll stir up anger!

The bible warns of the lust of the eyes, and sins of the flesh.

If we’re not careful, a marriage can end up in a mess!

Please dear Jesus, bring to this marriage a true healing!

May this couple stand on your word, and not just a “feeling.”

I pray that Jesus will help them to be healed of the past.

Only God’s can provide a foundation that will last!

If you’re finding that your marriage is drifting off course.

And you’re perhaps entertaining the word; “divorce.”

May God’s word encourage you to spend more time together.

Seeking the blood of Jesus to bind you as a couple…  Forever!

The blood of Christ can cleanse and remove each stain.

As you come together in the power of HIS name!

Let’s agree with God for the strengthening

 of marriages today!

And help us to honor one another

by what we do and say!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
