Through Pain and Suffering... There

Through Pain and Suffering...
There's Jesus!
During life, it's difficult to explain.
Why we go through suffering and pain.
Heartaches and burdens,
 we often bear.
Questioning if anyone
really does care.
Those we love,
 with all of our heart.
Can cause a relationship
 to fall "all apart."
Why Jesus... Has this happened to me?
My life is filled with
heartache and anxiety.
I've cried many times.  Alone and afraid.
Feeling hopeless and often betrayed.
Please help me Jesus.
I've no one else to turn to.
All of my problems... I now give to you!
Please take away my pain
 and all of my sorrow.
Without YOU...  I can't face tomorrow!
Protect me and my children,
 from harm today.
Through my trials...
I know you'll "make a way!"
Heavenly father.  How I long
 for your touch.
Thanks for caring.  I love you so much!
That's  why I call you Lord
and my best friend.
Who'll be there for me...
till the end!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
