Jesus Has the Power over Sin!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Jesus Has the Power Over Sin!

Sin’s destruction comes in various kinds.

It seeks to empty and destroy people’s minds!

It’s path to destruction is obvious and very clear.

The best of one’s intentions can quickly disappear!

No matter how good someone may think they may be.

Once they’re bound by sin, they ‘re no longer free!

Sin’s appetite grows larger by the passing hour.

It’s like a lion, seeking whom it may devour!

Jesus came, that the chains of sin may be broken!

By the power of Christ’ blood and his words spoken!

He is here and can change your life this moment!

Won’t you come and seek his blood’s atonement?

Christ’ blood was shed and a sacrifice was made!

You don’t have to be bound as sin’s slave!

Whatever you think you may be, or what you’ll obtain.

You won’t anything better than the beauty of Jesus’ name!

In his name, sin’s destruction won’t be keeping you down!

Where’s there’s sin, God’s grace much more abounds!

Thank you Jesus for the freedom we can have in you!

May it be our desire to put our faith and trust in you!

Christ is the answer! His faithfulness won’t fail you!

You can trust him!  Because of how

much he loves you!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
