I Asked God to Use Me!

I Asked God to Use Me!

I asked God to use me any way he could.

His love for me, I never fully understood!

I asked for him to help me to make a difference!

I wanted an “|old fashioned” prayer experience!

He gave to me abilities and talents to abound.

I wanted to reach the lost, so they may be found!

I tried my best in my own stumbling way.

And asked God to bless the words I would say!

My friends thought I was “crazy in the head.”
By the things that I did and said.

Sharing Christ with others was my true desire.

Though I became very

 exhausted and tired.

I told others of Christ in many places I went.

And told others how important it is to repent!

I took the time to lead a person in the sinner’s prayer.

I told him of a God who loves him and cares!

If God can use me, than he can use you too!

Sharing him with others,

is what he wants us to do!

Please help me lord to remain faithful and strong.

Please guide and teach me all the day long!

Words alone can’t express how grateful I am!

That day, by faith, I reached out

 and took God’s hand!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
