May We Share Jesus With Others!

I was wondering how God could use me.

Especially when so many have refused me.

I tried to share the words that God gave me.

But many in church stayed away from me.

I was hurt and asked; “why don’t they listen?”

I’m simply doing what I feel is God’s mission.

Didn’t Christ command us to share with the lost?

And boldly share the message of the cross?

Are people in church afraid to do this?

Aren’t we supposed to let God use us?

If we’re not willing to share Christ.  Who will?

How will God’s purpose in us, be fulfilled?

I pray that God will help us all to “awaken.”

To be his light before our life is taken.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Though the pressures of life are upon us.

May we allow God to give us the words to say.

And bring his good news to someone today.

May the words of God help to enlighten us.

Even when this world seems to frighten us.

Christ is the hope that we need to depend on.

He is what he should build our lives on!

May we focus on Jesus' message of salvation.

And share the gospel throughout this nation!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
