Making the Best Use of My Time

Will I make the best use

†of the time Godís given to me?

Will I make the best of what

†Godís entrusted to me?

With what Godís given, I need to make

†the best of it!

I havenít even tried, and Iím sure

†he is tired of it!

God gave me his best,

†when on the cross, Jesus died!

He gave his life for mine,

that day he was crucified!

Godís given me his time!† Now, itís my turn!

Iíve been living each day,

†and havenít been concerned!

The choices I have, the decisions

†Iíll be makin.í

I need to do my best,

†before my time is takiní!

Giving my time for Christ,

†is something to achieve!

Blessings fro him is what I want to receive!

To you Lord, Iíll try my best way that I can.

I want to hold you close,

†and not let go of your hand!

My life and time are yours!

†Please take control!

You are all that matters!†

Everything else must go!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
