What Has My Life Become?

What Has My Life Become?

I think about what my life has become…

It seems like there’s so much that’s undone!

There are many things that I wanted to achieve.

But much of what I wanted, I haven’t received!

There were many goals I wanted to meet.

But I feel like a failure!

 My life isn’t complete!

The things that I thought would bring happiness,

Have instead, left me feeling much “emptiness.”

I read, “What profits a man… If he loses his soul?”

And ask myself; “which direction

am I going to go?”

There’s many questions that remain unanswered.

It’s almost like having a

 “lingering cancer.”

I opened up the Bible and begin to read it.

As I read more, I realized how much I need it!

I read scripture in Romans and John…

And knew that it’s in Jesus, where my life belongs!

He brings hope, where others have failed me!

He brings comfort and hope that surround me!

He brings power and healing in his wings!

He’s my sold rock and provides everything!

It’s no secret the awesome miracles he can do!

He’s here right now!

And is waiting for YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
