I Wish I Could Tell You...

I  Wish I Could Tell You…

I wish I could tell you that “things will get better.”

This isn’t always true, and not the

purpose of this “letter.”

I wish I could tell you that your

problems will “go away.”

I wish all your worries would just

 “disappear” today!

I wish I could tell you that

 “everything’s going fine.’

But many people are going

through a difficult time.

I wish I could tell you that you will live forever.

We can’t fool “father time!”

Not now or never!

I want to tell you of a savior’s

 redeeming grace.

He can restore and put

your life on a  solid place!

I want to tell you that no matter

how things might “go sour.”

Jesus will never leave you

and will help at any hour!

I want to tell you that perhaps

things look “discouraging.”

Christ’ words of love are the most encouraging!

I want to tell you that this can be an exciting moment!

By accepting Christ and his blood’s atonement!

I wish for you God’s best for

today and tomorrow!

He gives you all that you need!

You don’t have to “borrow!”

I wish for you the very best which is true and pure!

An everlasting life with Christ….

Eternal and secure!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
