I Need to Come Clean for Jesus!

I Need to Come Clean For Jesus!

There’s many Christians walking around defeated.

Victory in their life hasn’t been completed.

Jesus came to set us free of whatever sin brings.

But too many of us want to hang to many things.

There are sins of the past that continually pull us down.

As we allow the temptations of the flesh to pull us down.

Christ came, that we can have victory through the cross.

But many in church do things, not counting the cost.

I’ve been there too and think of where I spent my time.

Meanwhile people that I knew thought all was “fine.”

I was tired of the phony way that I was living.

I thought; “what kind of life have I been giving?”

“Has it been of life of Godliness?”  “Time well spent?”

“Or is it the kind of life that I really need to repent?”

I got on my knees and confessed sins

 I was ashamed of.

There were many sins I didn’t want to speak of.

I wept and cried like I never cried before!

God showed me his forgiveness and so much more!

He took the broken pieces of my life

 and put them together!

He promised he’d be with me, both today and forever!

Jesus came in and cleansed my “phony” life throughout!

He showed me what living in victory was all about!

I have a peace and joy that I had never known!

Jesus brought his love and totally blessed our home!

Jesus brought to my life a beautiful redemption story.

I praise his holy name and give him all the glory!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
